It is hard to believe another year has rolled around and it is time for the 2011 Japan Shohin Bonsai Association Auction. This year instead of 1-2 web pages they have elected to publish a PDF file of the auction items. When we first downloaded it, the file was over 20MB so we used Acrobat to reduce the file size to a more manageable 3MB with little, if any, loss of quality.

Ah to be at the auction. I believe we would attempt to purchase those two Harada Houn dobans in the lower right corner of the back page.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the post. I picked up a pot at the Green Room that looks similar to #23, but I can’t see a chop in the picture. Does the original document show anything more? Mine has a square chop and a round chop above it. It would be interesting to know what it goes for… The size is the same, can anyone translate the rest?
