We continue today with Part 2 of the professional auction at the Green Club in Ueno Park, Tokyo.
From this vantage point you can see about 70% of the trees at the auction.
Another bench or two of bonsai.
A zelkova of immense stature. Notice the coke can on the left to obtain a perspective on size.
With show season coming up there are lots of accents for sale.
A nice shimpaku.
A very large stewartia for auction.
That pine takes quite a right turn!
A few nice trees inside the Green Club.
Is this a burning bush tree?
A very beautiful shimpaku juniper.
One of Aichi-en’s black pines.
The last of the accents.
The last of the trees…
Is this a root over rock or a rock in a tree? Incredible don’t you think?
The Vans of Bonsai
How many vans in a bonsai parking lot?
As we ended our post yesterday we promised you that there would be vans. Just look at them lined up outside the green club. Seems like a van is a prerequisite to be a professional!
We hoped you enjoyed these photos. A great big thank you to Peter for being so kind to take them and to forward them to us so we could share them with you.
