Eisho Wakahara of Japan was an exquisite maker of small bronzes. We have written a previous post on his work. We purchased one of his small bronzes back in 2010 and had been looking for something to display it on for quite a while. Well we finally found something we like.
It now sits atop this very small bronze display table (7 x 5 x 3 cm). It is interesting to us that someone would take the time to create a small bronze table like this one. We had never seen anything like it before but we were pleased to add it to our collection. Thank you Mr. Tanaka!
As you can see from the photo the leg has a face carved into the knee of the stand leg. A very nice added feature.
We appreciate the craftsmen ship it takes to make objects such as these. We hope you appreciate it as well.
